How to upload a new file to the storage (upload and from URL)
Quick guide to uploading a file to the Storage section in Fynode — via classic upload or directly from a URL. You can find the Storage in the administration at https://fynode.com/files where user and system files are managed.
Step 1 — Opening the Storage section
Go to the admin to the Storage page https://fynode.com/files where you see a list of uploaded files. The list shows basic information such as name, category, file type, extension and creation date. System files are marked and cannot be edited or deleted.
Step 3 — Uploading a file from a URL
Click the New file from URL button above the list and fill in the fields URL address, Name and Category. After creation the system will save the link to the external file and will regularly download its current version several times a day, so the file will be automatically updated.
Step 2 — Uploading a file via upload (drag and drop)
Click the New file button above the list and a window with a drag and drop zone will open where you can drop the file or choose it via the classic upload. Enter a unique File name and select a Category, or create a new category using the Create new category button. Supported formats are pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, xml, csv and txt and the maximum file size is 10 MB.
Step 4 — After uploading: download, edit and delete
In the list, each file has the actions “Download”, “Edit” and “Delete”. Edit opens a drag and drop window that overwrites the existing file with a new one. System files cannot be edited or deleted. Before deleting, make sure the file is no longer used in other functionalities.
Supported formats are pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, xml, csv and txt and the maximum file size is 10 MB. If you try to upload a larger file the system will block the upload.
When uploading click the Create new category button in the Category field, enter the category name and choose a color. The new category will be immediately available for selection in subsequent uploads.
If you create a file from a URL, the system stores a link to the external file and downloads its current version several times a day to ensure regular content updates.
