Options for synchronizing stock levels between the eshop and Marketplaces
This article describes the available methods for synchronizing stock levels between your eshop and connected marketplaces. You can send stock levels from your eshop to the marketplace regularly or let the system adjust levels after order import, with some settings depending on support from the specific marketplace. Specific switches and rules can be found in the detail of each marketplace in the Marketplaces section at https://fynode.com/marketplaces and in the descriptions of stock integrations in the warehouse documentation.
Synchronization modes
From the marketplace connection details you can enable “Update stock status from eshop to marketplace”, which makes the system regularly send current stock levels to the marketplace. The synchronization frequency is normally performed automatically at regular intervals and under typical settings runs approximately every 30 minutes if the integration supports stock export.
Behavior when importing orders
If you import orders from a marketplace into the system, activate "Decrease stock in eshop after order import" if you want the stock in the eshop to be reduced automatically. Alternatively, it is possible to import orders directly into the eshop if the platform supports order creation; these modes are mutually exclusive. During import you can also automate invoice creation if you have an accounting system connected.
Product pairing and status value
When setting up the connection you choose the product matching method — by "product number" or by "EAN". You also choose whether the eshop should send the maximum stock value or their sum (default is Maximum value). Correct matching setup is crucial so items match correctly between systems and stock aggregates properly.
How often does the system synchronize stock levels to Marketplaces?
When enabling the option "Update stock status from the eshop to the Marketplaces", stock levels are sent automatically at regular intervals. The typical synchronization frequency in our solution is approximately every 30 minutes if the given connection supports exporting inventory.
How do I set product matching so the stock status updates correctly?
In the warehouse linkage settings, choose matching by "product number" or by "EAN" depending on which identifiers you consistently maintain in the eshop and in the warehouse. Then select the stock mode — "Maximum value" or "Sum" — depending on whether you want to take the largest local stock or the sum of multiple warehouses.
What happens to stock after importing an order from a marketplace?
If you enable “Deduct stock in the eshop after importing order” in the Marketplace detail, the system will automatically reduce stock in the eshop after importing the order to keep it consistent. If you import orders directly into the eshop, eshop stock is adjusted when the order is created. You can also automate issuing an invoice after import if you have invoicing connected.
