Eshop settings: localization, currency, time zone and time format
In the Settings section at https://fynode.com/settings you can adjust the basic eshop parameters such as localization, default currency, time zone and time display format. These options affect how products, statistics and time data are displayed in the admin and on the customer-facing site.
Eshop localization
In the settings you choose the eshop country, which is considered the main setting for products and content. If the eshop has multiple localizations, the selected localization is used as primary for products and the others serve as translations. Changing the localization can affect import behavior and the display of texts in the system, and therefore its change is usually visible after a short system refresh.
Time zone and time format
In settings you can choose the time zone used to display all time data in the system. You also select the time format 24h or AM/PM to match your preferences. A correctly set time zone is important for scheduled tasks, imports, and timestamps of orders or customer communications.
Shop currency and statistics
The shop’s default currency determines the domestic currency in which statistics and summaries are displayed. If you accept orders in different currencies, the system will convert their value into the domestic currency when generating reports. When changing the currency, check price settings, shipping prices and billing to ensure they match your accounting.
How long does it take for a change in localization or currency to take effect?
Changes usually take effect immediately in the settings, however in some parts of the system, for example the product list, there may be a delay of about 30 minutes. If you need immediate effects, check the relevant overviews and restart any exports or cache processes.
Can I run the eshop in one localization and sell in another currency?
Yes. Localization determines the language and regional settings of the eshop, while the default currency serves as the home currency for statistics. The system also supports orders in different currencies and converts them to the home currency in reports.
What time format can I choose and where will it appear?
You can choose the classic 24-hour format or the AM/PM format. This choice will affect the display of times across the administration and in communication with customers, for example the order creation time or scheduled tasks.
