Editing an existing file in Storage (overwrite)
A short guide on overwriting a file in the Storage section: steps for opening the editor, uploading a new version, and verifying the result. You do everything via the file list in the administration at https://fynode.com/files.
Open the Storage section and find the file
Go to https://fynode.com/files and find the file you want to edit in the list. Use the "Name" filter or select a category to quickly find the item. The file row shows actions including the "Edit" button.
Saving, checking and notes on system files
After uploading, confirm saving. The new version will overwrite the old file and appear immediately in the list. Warning: system files cannot be edited or deleted via the interface, so such files will not have an active "Edit" button.
Starting an edit and uploading a new version
Click the "Edit" button for the given file. A window with a drag and drop zone will open where you can drag the new file or select it via the standard dialog. Optionally enter a new name and verify the category before saving. Supported formats are pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, xml, csv and txt and the max size is 10 MB.
Yes, you can overwrite most files via the „Edit“ button in the list, however system files are protected and cannot be edited or deleted through the interface.
Supported formats are pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, xml, csv and txt. The maximum allowed file size is 10 MB.
If the file originally came from a URL, uploading it locally will overwrite it and the system will no longer download the external version. If you want to keep regular updates from the URL, create the file from URL instead of uploading it locally.
