Overview of AI features and how they work (features, tasks, plugins)
A brief overview of how the AI ecosystem works in Fynode: the split into AI functions, AI tasks and AI plugins, the principles of triggering and managing calls, and the basic rules for billing calls from AI credit. This article will help you understand what each part does and how to use them effectively in the administration.
What are AI features
An AI function is an independent process designed for a specific task, for example generating a product name, a short or long description, an SEO title or translating text. The user can edit the function instructions and input data so that the function's behavior fits the eshop's needs. The list includes available system functions prepared for products and categories, which can be called individually or in bulk.
AI add-ons and their purpose
AI add-ons are finished modules designed for the frontend of the eshop or specific services, for example "AI similar products", "AI search", "AI chatbot" and "AI mailer". Add-ons are activated and configured separately in the AI add-ons section and are often integrated into the eshop via JS code or configuration. Credit is also deducted from the user's AI credit for responses or add-on calls.
AI tasks — how calls are organized
An AI task is a collection of calls of a single AI function on a set of items (for example 100 products). The task contains items with statuses such as "Waiting to start", "Processing", "Processed" or "Error" and the user can run it only after checking the inputs. Each call in the task returns an output that you can save to the eshop, export or further process. Task history can be found in the AI tasks section and can be filtered by function or status.
Price, credits and call control
AI calls are charged and the price depends on input data and output size. Before running a feature you see an estimated price and after processing the final price is shown, which is automatically deducted from the AI credit. In the admin you can see remaining credit and the option to top up credit as needed.
How do I start the AI feature on a single product?
In the product detail click the "Generate via AI" or "Translate via AI" button and choose the desired AI function. After running, the AI output is displayed along with the price and the "Save to eshop" or "Discard" buttons. The result is also recorded in the AI task history.
How do I create and run an AI task on multiple products at once?
Filter products in the list, use the bulk action “AI task”, select the AI function and click “Create”. The generated AI task will appear in the AI tasks section, where you check the items and then press “Run” to process them in bulk. Each item has its status and results can be saved or exported in bulk.
Are AI add-ons charged and how is usage billed?
Yes. Add-ons and direct AI calls both consume AI credit. The price for a response depends on the input data and the size of the output. Before activation or starting some actions you see an estimated price and during processing the credit is automatically deducted from your account.
