Status mapping connects your eshop's internal statuses with the standard public order statuses (Received, Processing, Shipped, Delivered). By mapping correctly you ensure the customer sees clear and consistent information on the Track & Trace page, including supplementary text for each status. Adjust the mapping settings in the Track & Trace section, where you assign one or more statuses from your eshop to each public status and enter the customer-facing texts.
Basic mapping principles
The public order uses 4 main states: Received, Processing, Sent and Delivered. To each of these states you assign in the Track & Trace settings any number of your internal eshop states. When an order reaches a mapped internal state, the public page will automatically show the corresponding public state and the supplementary customer text.
Practical recommendations for mapping
Map multiple internal states to one public state where they have the same customer meaning to keep communication clear. In supplementary texts indicate the expected next step, for example “We are dispatching the goods; you will soon receive an email with the shipment number.” After adjusting the mapping, test the display via the Track & Trace button in the order detail to see the result from the customer’s perspective.
How to set supplementary texts and languages
For each public status you can enter a custom supplementary text that is shown to the customer on the Track & Trace page. The text is set in the main localization and then you can use the Translate button to create versions for individual delivery countries. The displayed language is by default determined by the order’s delivery country, but the customer can change it directly on the public order page.
Where do I set the mapping of public order statuses?
Perform the setup in the Track & Trace section. For each public status (Received, Processing, Shipped, Delivered) choose the corresponding internal statuses from your eshop using the dropdown and add the supplementary text to be shown to the customer.
Can I have multiple internal states for one public state?
Yes. It is common to map multiple internal statuses to a single public status if they have the same meaning for the customer. This ensures consistent display even with complex internal processes.
How do I verify what the customer will see on the public order?
In the order detail, click the Track & Trace button to open the public page of the specific order and check its display including supplementary texts, parcel number and any data from the courier.
