Loading and updating data from the eshop (products, orders)
In this article we explain how Fynode loads and synchronizes data from your eshop — products, categories, statuses and orders. The basic action "Load data" allows immediate download of changes from the eshop, while the system regularly updates sequences and basic settings several times a day. Specific time intervals and product matching rules apply for synchronization of inventory levels and orders, which we will briefly outline below.
Quick manual import and regular automatic update
On the eshop connection page there is a "Load data" button that immediately downloads the current settings and states (order statuses, payment and shipping methods, etc.). After activating the eshop, data is loaded automatically and the system refreshes it several times a day — approximately every 8 hours for sequences and settings.
Stock level updates and order imports
If a connection to the inventory system is active, the system can automatically update stock quantities — typically approximately every 30 minutes for stock levels. It is also possible to enable “Automatic import of orders”, which transfers new orders from the eshop to the external warehouse or to the Fynode system for further processing.
Product synchronization and matching (number vs EAN)
When linking multiple local eshops or external warehouses, the user chooses which eshop is the “main” one and matching of localizations and translations is handled accordingly. Products can be matched by product number or EAN (or both) and the setting determines whether prices, stock and localized texts are synchronized from the main eshop.
Order management and bulk actions
Orders are maintained in one place — the system imports them from the shop and Marketplaces and allows changing statuses, issuing invoices, recording payments or sending data to Couriers. For greater control, bulk actions are available (export, synchronize, change status, issue invoices and more), and order synchronization can also be started manually for a selection of up to 100 items at once.
After activation the initial load occurs immediately; basic sequences and settings are then updated automatically several times a day (approx. every 8 hours). If you need immediate display of changes, use the "Load data" button in the eshop settings.
Matching can be done by product number or by EAN code — just enable the appropriate option in the warehouse/products settings. For multiple warehouses you can also choose whether the eshop receives the maximum stock value from a single warehouse or the sum from all warehouses.
Yes — if the warehouse system supports importing received orders, there is a switch “Automatic order import” in the settings. After activation, new orders will start importing automatically into the warehouse system, simplifying recordkeeping and further processing of shipments.
