How to define and run AI tasks for bulk processing of items
The guide will show step-by-step how to create an AI task for bulk processing of products or categories, how to prepare inputs, check items, and run processing. It will also show import-from-file options, cost estimation before running, and common bulk actions for tasks.
Creating an AI task
You create an AI task via the button in the product or category list using the bulk action “AI task” or by importing a file. For the bulk action you choose a function and set which data will be sent to the AI as input (for example product name or long description). The system will create a task with items, each item representing one product or one row from the file.
Start and course of processing
When inputs are ready, in the task detail click "Run" and the system will process items sequentially. During processing each item has the status "Processing" and on success "Processed". If an item ends with an error, the system will mark it and you can rerun it or edit the input and try again.
Preparing inputs and checking items
A new task contains items in the status "Waiting to start", so you can review or edit the input fields for each item before running. When importing Excel or CSV you choose which column is the input for AI. In bulk edit you can use templates with {input} to add context in bulk for each item.
Results, saving and export
After processing you see outputs for each item. You can copy them, edit them, or bulk save them to the eshop via the "Save to eshop" button, where you select the target field (name, short description, SEO, etc.). You can also export selected items to Excel with the original input and generated output.
In the AI tasks section choose New task from an imported file, upload an xls, xlsx or csv file and select the column that will serve as input for the AI. The system will create items in the task according to the rows of the file and redirect you to the task detail for review before running.
In the task detail, use filtering to find items with the status “Error.” You can edit the input for a specific item or delete it. After editing, press “Run” for that item or use bulk actions to restart multiple items at once.
Before starting use the function to view an estimated price, where you choose the token estimation method (maximum number of tokens or the same number of tokens as the input). The system will calculate an approximate price for the whole task and after approval the call will start and the final amount will be deducted from AI credit after processing.
