Creating a new pickup points map and its settings
Guide to creating a new pickup points map in Fynode including a description of all available settings and how to embed the map into your eshop. The process starts with the button to create a new map in the maps list on https://fynode.com/maps and continues through the settings form up to the test preview and generated JS code. For more information about the maps list and basic map behavior, see the Fynode documentation and the map form description.
Step by step: creating a map
The button to create a new map is located above the list of maps. After clicking, select the Courier for which you have an active connection and the system will redirect you to the new map form. The form contains all fields necessary to configure the display of pickup points and restrictions by country or domain. After saving a test preview and an input with the JS code for insertion into the eshop will be displayed.
Testing and insertion into the eshop
After saving the map the form refreshes and displays a test preview where you can verify the map. The generated JS code is tied to the entered domain so it will not load from other domains. For Shopify use an external link to install the plugin and enter the unique token in the plugin settings according to the instructions in the Fynode administration.
Required and optional map settings
In the settings select the country and enter the domain in the form domena.com without https or slashes. Then enter the name of the delivery type that will activate the map in checkout and you can enable pickup locations only for cash on delivery or for card payment. Optional settings include the number of minutes to change the pickup location, sending a notification email to the customer, and default coordinates with zoom level for desktop and mobile. You can also merge the map with other maps you have created in the system.
When creating a new map first select a courier from the list of those you have active in the Couriers section. After selection you will be redirected to a form where you complete the map settings and save it.
Enter the domain without protocol or slashes, for example domena.com. The domain is used to verify the JS code load and thus prevent the map from being loaded from another domain.
In the map settings enter the field Number of minutes to change pickup point. If you enter a number, the customer will have the ability during this period to change the pickup point via the public Track & Trace order page.
