How to create and configure AI functions (instructions and materials)
In this guide we explain step by step how to create a custom AI function in Fynode, which fields to fill in and how to properly prepare instructions and materials for high-quality outputs. We describe form settings, model and personality options, adding attachments and basic rules for pricing AI calls.
Function form and basic fields
You create a new AI function in the AI functions section. The form contains fields “Name,” “Description,” “Maximum output token count,” “Instructions,” “Model,” “Personality,” plugin settings, and an option to add an attachment from storage. These settings determine the function’s behavior and affect the call cost. See the AI functions section documentation for a list of system functions and their presets.
Materials and attachments
You can add attachments from storage that the AI will use as context. To generate based on a product, select “Product information” within the call and the system will automatically fill in relevant fields. If you call the function from an imported file, set the column with the input and the system will create an AI task with items to process.
How to write effective instructions
The “Instructions” field is a multiline input where you enter precise rules for the AI. Write concrete requirements, examples of unwanted output and style rules. For translation functions you can add specific instructions for individual languages so the AI does not use certain words or prefers particular terms.
Testing, pricing and launch
Before running, you can use the "Try" function and view an estimated price based on the selected token calculation. After testing, you will create an AI task, check the inputs of individual items, and start processing. The response price is automatically deducted from the AI credit and in the item detail you can see the final price and the option to save or edit the output before writing it to the eshop.
Be specific and concise. Define the expected style, output format, and examples of good and bad output. For translations add rules for specific languages if you need particular terms. Use the multiline field "Instructions" in the function editor.
Yes. In the function form there is an option "Add attachment from storage", where you select a file that the AI will take as supplementary context. This is useful, for example, for specifications or lists of terminology that the AI should respect.
Before running the function use the button to view the price estimate. The system offers calculation based on the maximum number of tokens or based on the same number of tokens as the input. After processing you see the final price and consumed credit in the task or item detail.
